WorldSkills Competition Update – Day 2

Another great day yesterday with Team UK competitors taking the heat in their stride. Cliff and Dean seemed to be coping well and not phased by the crowds of visitors – we’ve been told around 40,000 people have visited Stampede Park so far since the competition began.

It’s difficult to imagine the size of the venue without you actually seeing it – but believe us, Stampede Park is huge and well equipped to deal with its hoards of fascinated visitors.

WorldSkills Calgary 2009 - Opening Ceremony

WorldSkills Calgary 2009 kicks off in style. Music, Dance, Acrobatic demonstrations and fireworks launch the 2009 competition. 51 Countries, 900 competitiors and thousands of visitors will closely watch the 45 skills categories over the next four days. Team UK will compete in 25 skill categories. Watch for updates!
